How are public school districts across the state addressing enrollment, resources, and competition?  

Tomball ISD, in partnership with Huckabee, will share insight into the planning and development of the district’s newest innovative CTE-focused facility, Tomball West High School. 

Tomball West High School expands career opportunities through more than 30 Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways, including the P-TECH Tomball Academy of Healthcare, where students engage in authentic, hands-on learning while developing the knowledge, skills, and character embodied in Tomball ISD's Character, Accountability, Responsibility, Excellence, Effort, and Respect (CAREER) framework.

As a fast-growth district, Tomball consistently achieves high academic achievement. The new Tomball West High School builds on the district’s strong record of providing a dynamic learning environment for students. Come learn about ways public school districts can be the go-to destination and driving force for recruiting and retaining students, as well as future planning for the continued transformation of student-centered public schools.

Public school administrators, community members, and business leaders are invited to join Fast Growth School Coalition, Tomball ISD, and Huckabee on Sept. 16.

  1. Enjoy a hands-on tour of the new Tomball West High School and explore its CTE, CAREER-focused facilities.

  2. Learn more about the future vision of Tomball ISD and best practices that all public school districts can consider to “meet the moment” in an increasingly competitive landscape.

  3. Over a catered lunch, attendees will hear from David Anderson, Partner and Managing Director of STRIVE Public Policy Resources, and engage in small group breakout discussions about how public school districts can meet the challenges of enrollment by generating more revenue, while competition is increasing.
